In the shade of majestic parasol pine trees and old cork oaks, on the foot of the Petits Maures range of hills, this small site under Dutch management, has everything,with the emphasis on nature and comfort, to make a success of your holiday in a friendly and relaxed ambience. Flowering oleanders - "Lauriers Roses" in french - border the entrance and access road to the camping site.

A large number of the 72 pitches for caravans and tents is situated on terraces against a hill, offering a superb view on the Mediterranean, at abt.3 Km distance, at the bay of Fréjus/Saint-Raphaël and the Esterel mountains. This also goes for a limited number of fully equipped luxurious static caravans that are for hire, for a maximum occupancy of 6 people.

Saint-Aygulf, part of the Fréjus municipality, is a small, pleasant seaside resort with wide, sandy beaches towards Fréjus-Port and many small sandy and rocky beaches, westwards towards St. Tropez. This famous retreat of the jet set is at approx. 25 Km, less by sea when taking the regular boat service. Cannes, Antibes and Nice are all within 60 Km, add another 25 Km for Monaco. Don't miss the beautiful hinterland of the Var region, the Provence at its best! Just opposite the campsite's entrance is an acces road to the Etangs de Villepey, a small natural reserve, where footpaths along the ponds allow you to admire the specific fauna and flora of the area. There are also plenty of possibilities for cycling either towards the beaches or to the quieter plains of the Argens river. The Maures mountain range, commencing behind the camping site, as well as the Esterel mountains near Saint-Raphaël and the impressive rock formation of Roquebrune offer splendid opportunities for walks and hiking.

It's good staying at the Lauriers Roses site, clean and modern sanitary facilities, a good size(heated) pool , a separate pool for the very small ones, a nice poolside terrace with bar and a good restaurant,serving a.o. delicious Indonesian dishes and spare ribs.An adjacent lounge with a.o. satellite TV and billiards-table is open in the evening for adults only. The "jeu de boules" rink is very popular in fore- and after- season.

There is a safe,little playground for small children.No on site organised entertainment or disco.On request staff will direct you to sport activities such as golf,tennis,sailing,wind-surfing,river excursions by kayak,horse-riding,deepsea diving and trout-fishing.

From most pitches it is possible to use your own computer via WiFi

Your dog too is welcome, provided he is kept on leash and let out in specially assigned areas.
